Welcome to Gale Guesthouses. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Gale Guesthouses website and reservations made directly through Gale Guesthouses.
By using our website or completing a direct reservation with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any reservation-specific policies presented to you at the time of booking.
1. Reservations
Reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only after you receive confirmation from Gale Guesthouses or our authorized booking provider.
Guests are responsible for providing complete and accurate contact, payment, and reservation information.
The individual making the reservation is responsible for the reservation and for ensuring that all guests included in the reservation comply with these Terms and any applicable house rules.
2. Rates, Taxes & Fees
Room rates may vary according to property, room, dates, availability, length of stay, and other factors.
The total price of your stay, including applicable mandatory fees, will be disclosed in connection with the booking process as required by applicable law. Applicable taxes and any permitted charges excluded from the displayed total will also be disclosed as required by law.
Optional services or charges requested by a guest may be charged separately.
3. Payment
Payment requirements will be disclosed during the reservation process.
By providing a payment method, you authorize Gale Guesthouses and/or its authorized payment processor to charge amounts associated with your reservation according to the terms disclosed at booking.
Any security deposit, authorization hold, or similar requirement will be disclosed in accordance with applicable law.
4. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on the property, room, rate, dates, or reservation type.
The specific cancellation and refund policy displayed before booking and/or included in your reservation confirmation applies to your reservation.
Guests are responsible for reviewing these terms before completing a reservation.
Reservations made through third-party booking platforms may be subject to the cancellation and refund policies applicable to that platform and reservation.
Failure to arrive, early departure, or a request to shorten a stay does not automatically entitle a guest to a refund. Any refund will be determined according to the applicable reservation terms and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation or refund right required by applicable law.
5. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in and check-out times will be provided with your reservation.
Early check-in and late checkout are subject to availability and prior approval and may be subject to an additional disclosed fee.
Guests who remain beyond their approved checkout time may be responsible for additional charges to the extent disclosed and permitted by law.
6. Registered Guests & Occupancy
Only registered guests may occupy a guest accommodation.
Each accommodation has a maximum permitted occupancy. Guests may not exceed that occupancy without prior written approval from Gale Guesthouses.
The person who made the reservation is responsible for the conduct of the guests and visitors associated with that reservation.
7. Parties, Events & Gatherings
A guestroom reservation is for lodging purposes only unless Gale Guesthouses expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Parties, events, receptions, meetings, gatherings, pop-ups, brand activations, or similar activities are not permitted without prior written authorization from Gale Guesthouses.
A reservation does not grant permission to use entrances, stoops, façades, common areas, or other portions of a property for an event or organized activity.
Approved events or commercial uses may require a separate agreement, insurance, security deposit, location fee, or other conditions.
8. Photography, Filming & Commercial Use
Personal photography by registered guests is permitted for ordinary personal use.
Professional or commercial photography, filming, productions, advertising, product shoots, brand campaigns, influencer or sponsored content productions, press shoots, or other commercial use of a Gale Guesthouses property requires prior written authorization.
Additional agreements, insurance, location fees, or other requirements may apply.
Booking a guestroom does not constitute permission for commercial use of the property.
9. Guest Conduct
Guests are expected to respect the property, our neighbors, staff, and other guests.
Excessive noise, disruptive conduct, illegal activity, threatening behavior, intentional property damage, unauthorized events, and activity that creates a material safety risk are prohibited.
Where permitted by law, Gale Guesthouses may require prohibited conduct to cease and may take appropriate action, including termination of a stay for serious or repeated violations.
10. Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside Gale Guesthouses accommodations and in any other areas designated as non-smoking.
Guests may be responsible for documented damage or extraordinary cleaning resulting from a violation, to the extent permitted by law and consistent with charges disclosed to the guest.
11. Damage & Extraordinary Cleaning
Guests are responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for damage to the property or its contents caused by themselves or persons for whom they are responsible during their stay.
Guests may also be responsible for reasonable costs associated with missing property or extraordinary cleaning resulting from their stay.
Any charges will be assessed and processed in accordance with applicable law and the terms disclosed in connection with the reservation.
12. Historic Properties
Gale Guesthouses operates accommodations within historic buildings. Individual properties and rooms may have unique layouts, stairs, entrances, architectural features, floor variations, or other characteristics associated with historic structures.
Guests with questions regarding physical accessibility or particular property features should contact us before booking so we can provide available information about the relevant accommodation.
13. Service Disruptions
From time to time, circumstances such as construction, maintenance, utility interruptions, or other events may affect services or amenities.
Gale Guesthouses will provide notices and cancellation or refund rights when required by applicable law.
14. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings during their stay.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gale Guesthouses is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
15. Website Content & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the photographs, videos, text, graphics, logos, designs, branding, stories, and other content appearing on the Gale Guesthouses website are owned by or licensed to Gale Guesthouses and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

20. Changes to These Terms
